Governor Edmund “Jerry” Brown has appointed CEP America Physician Assistant (PA), Jed Grant, PA-C, to California’s Physician Assistant Board.
The PA Board of the Medical Board of California “serves and protects consumers of California through licensing, approving physician assistant training programs, and enforcement of the laws governing the Physician Assistant Practice Act.” The 9-member Board is comprised of one physician member, four licensed PAs, and four public members; with the Governor in charge of appointing the PA members and two members of the public.
Jed Grant is the Lead PA for San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif. A veteran of the United States Army and National Guard, Mr. Grant also serves as a reserve police officer for the city of Visalia. In addition to his administrative duties as Lead PA, Mr. Grant is the Director of San Joaquin’s PA Fellowship Program.
