On March 1, 2013, St. Vincent Medical Center will begin a partnership with CEP America, one of the nation’s largest providers of acute care management solutions, to manage and staff the medical center’s emergency department (ED). St. Vincent Medical Center joins a network of over 100 CEP America practice locations across eight states serving over 4.1 million patients annually.
“We look forward to drawing on CEP America’s experience in emergency medicine to enhance care to members of the Los Angeles community,” said Cathy Fickes, CEO at St. Vincent Medical Center. “Visitors can expect shorter wait times and a consistent, high quality of care when they seek emergency treatment at St. Vincent.”
Plans are underway for St. Vincent Medical Center to become a 911 receiving facility by the end of the year. The partnership with CEP America is the first step in the expansion project.
CEP America, an independent physician‐owned partnership, offers a wide range of clinical, staffing and administrative expertise designed to increase clinical quality and service excellence across the acute care continuum. Since its founding in 1975, CEP America has grown to include over 1,800 providers working in urgent, emergency, inpatient, and post-discharge settings.
