The CEP America Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (EMPA) Fellowship was founded in 2009 at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, a 465-bed, state-of-the-art teaching facility based in Colton, California. The hospital serves an urban population, is certified as a Level II trauma center, and features a burn center, as well. Emergency providers at Arrowhead care for 400 patients daily with a wide range of acuity levels.
The Fellowship at Arrowhead is offered to certified physician assistants interested in advancing the specialty of emergency medicine. It runs 14 months, beginning each November. The program builds upon the knowledge and clinical skills acquired during an ARC-PA accredited entry level Physician Assistant program and focuses on expanding that knowledge and refining the skills required for quality emergency care.
The program’s educational focus centers on the patient. We are committed to providing a safe environment for our patients, providing consumer friendly service, and promoting the general health of the community.
