Scott Lopata, MD, named Medical Director at Brotman Medical Center Emergency Department.

(March 2005, Emeryville, California.,) --California Emergency Physicians (CEP) Medical Group is proud to announce that Scott Lopata, MD, has accepted the position of Medical Director at Brotman Medical Center Emergency Department (ED) in Culver City, California. Brotman Medical Center provides care to nearly 25,000 patients each year.

Dr. Lopata will be responsible for managing the operations of the Emergency Department, including staffing the site with high quality physicians and physician assistants, supervising ED staff performance, and executing patient satisfaction programs. Dr. Lopata will also monitor local and regional economic trends and their potential impact for the site. Dr. Martin Ogle, CEP Regional Director, states, “Dr. Lopata has the demonstrated leadership skills to guide Brotman Medical Center Emergency Department into the future. Groomed and mentored by his predecessor, Dr. John Lalli, Dr. Lopata will have an opportunity to contribute to the continued success of the Emergency Department and the entire Medical Center.”

His credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science from Temple University. He earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Emory Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Lopata is board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
