CEP Chosen as Partner for Sun Health System Arizona ED Contracts

(February 2006, Emeryville, California)--When Sun Health System found it necessary to change emergency physician groups, they recently turned to California Emergency Physicians Medical Group (CEP) to provide the physician leadership and clinicians to manage the growing patient volume and operational complexity of their two emergency departments. As with many hospital systems in California -and within the past 12 months, more hospitals in Oregon and Georgia -have discovered, CEP has the proven track record of performance, management expertise, programs and best practices to maximize efficiencies possible in both the emergency department and other areas of the hospital that impact patient flow and satisfaction.

The CEP Region for Arizona will be under the direct leadership of Regional Medical Director, Michael Sequeira, MD, FACEP. CEP and MedAmerica, the management support company owned by the CEP physician partnership, and Dr. Sequeira have a documented track record for delivering remarkable results in ED operations performance in a collaborative environment for physicians, nurses, and administration in many high patient volume hospitals in California.
