Jeffrey Arnold, MD, Named ED Medical Director at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center

(October 2006, Emeryville, California) – California Emergency Physicians Medical Group (CEP) is proud to announce that effective October 1st, Jeffrey Arnold, MD, will be the new Medical Director for the emergency department (ED) at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) in San Jose, California. When asked about his goals for the site, Dr. Arnold said, "Patients are our priority. We value excellent quality of care, excellent service, and excellent teamwork with all members of our healthcare team. Our goal is for every emergency patient to be treated promptly, compassionately, and competently."
David Hunter, MD, CEP's Regional Director, said, “I am excited that Dr. Arnold has accepted the position of Medical Director for the ED. His collaborative style of leadership along with his background in emergency medicine education will definitely be assets to the ED Team as we work together to further SCVMC’s reputation in the community as a provider of choice.”
Dr. Arnold’s career as an emergency medicine physician and teacher spans more than 15 years. As a professor, he has instructed students at several medical schools including Tufts and Yale, and as a lecturer he has traveled to numerous countries including China, Japan, South Africa, Croatia, Turkey, Mexico, Australia, Scotland, Italy and Egypt. Dr. Arnold earned his medical degree at the Stanford University School of Medicine, completed his emergency medicine residency program at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and received his bachelor’s from Sonoma State University. He is a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians and a Partner in CEP.
