CEP's 2005 Annual Report Wins Award

(July 2006, Emeryville, California)— CEP’s 2005 Annual Report to Hospital Administrators was recently selected for an award by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), which recognizes exemplary communications behaviors through its annual report awards competition; CEP received an "Honors" distinction in the "Vision Awards" category.

LACP received over 1,900 entries from across the globe, up from a little over 1,400 entries last year. The competition was extremely tough; in fact, less than one out of every five entries received award-level recognition. CEP was up against companies such as Bayer, Volkswagen, LG, QUALCOMM, Proctor & Gamble, and Heineken, all of which were seeking the top prize. Overall, CEP’s report earned 86 out of a total 100 points, placing it in the 81st percentile. LACP’s entries are also ranked based on “competition classes,” which are determined by company size, annual revenue, and other relevant factors. CEP’s report fared even better when compared to its peers, ranking 5th out 72 entries.

LACP’s competitions are judged by a field of communications professionals whose expertise spans a broad spectrum of disciplines. The judges had this to say about CEP’s report: “The book’s overall creativity is very good, achieving an excellent job of delivering a clear message about CEP, its mission, recent accomplishments, and prospects for the future.”
