Site Description
Sutter Delta Medical Center (SutterDelta.org) is located about 30 miles east of Oakland, California. It is a 110-bed facility serving the greater East Contra Costa County area, as well as parts of Solano and San Joaquin Counties. The new 31-bed emergency department sees 52,000 patients per year in an area popular for boating, sail boarding, and water skiing. Patient population is evenly distributed across all age groups. The ED admits or transfers approximately 15% of its patients, and is staffed with approximately 72 hours of mixed physician/PA coverage per day.

Community Description
Antioch is a growing community located in Contra Costa County, one of the few Bay Area cities that still offers affordable housing. It is known as the "Gateway to the Delta" - the point where the Sacramento and the San Joaquin Rivers come together and continue on to the Pacific Ocean.
