Site Description

Kaweah Delta Medical Center (Kaweah.org) is the largest of three hospitals in Tulare County in California's Central Valley. It is a not-for-profit district hospital licensed for over 500 beds. The emergency department, a Level III trauma receiving facility, sees more than 70,000 patients annually in 33 emergency departments and 7 fast-track area beds. There is triple physician coverage 17 hours daily as well as 40 hours of ML coverage daily. The District also sponsors an off-site Urgent Care Clinic that has a volume of 28,000 patient visits annually. The hospital is a regional referral center for an array of services, including cardiac services, cancer care, sleep disorders and vascular labs, specialized orthopedics, comprehensive rehabilitation, and mental health services. The Cardiac Services Program was named as one of the Top 100 Hospitals for Cardiovascular Services by HCIA-Sachs.
